Our UHR seismic services find their application in a wide range of activities, which require all a detailed knowledge of the sub bottom structures and seismic stratigraphy:
Our UHR multi-channel seismic services are often used for the detection of gas pockets in site surveys, but also to investigate shallow sub-bottom structures for large-scale offshore engineering projects such as tunnels, bridges and wind farms.
Various end-users have selected our equipment as the best currently available in the industry. In response we continue to develop new methods to satisfy their demands.
We keep on stock a comprehensive range of multi-channel streamers, with different geometries, in order to provide the best solution for the prevailing water depth, penetration and required target resolution.
The Geo-Sense Streamers plus the Multi-Trace Recorder (continuous recording with 24 bit resolution at 10 kHz sample rate) allow you to capture the full spectrum data needed for advanced, state-of-the-art processing. The Multi-Trace software comprises also all features for efficient quality control.
We have been acquiring and processing successfully data in 1.5 m (one and half meter) water depth………….. and in 6000 m water depth…......
The 10 ft containerized spread is ideal for quick mobilization on a large (supply) vessel. Very often the slots for fixing a 20 - 10 ft container are already available on the back deck.
The 6-16 kJ spread typically composed of a Geo-Spark 6-16 kJ Pulsed Power Supply, a Geo-Source 800 tip or 1600 tip sparker, our Multi-Trace data acquisition system plus an UHR Geo-Sense streamer, of 24-48-96 channels. Obviously, you can also use our Geo-Sense single channel streamer with the Mini-Trace II acquisition unit.
Please note the 8 ft containerized version is just one grade smaller and has the advantage that it can easily be air freighted.
This spread is based on our latest 2000 XF pulsed power supply, which can be expanded to 7 kJ by adding the extra 5 kJ capacitor unit.
The 2000 XF is typically combined with the lightweight Geo-Source 200 sparker, the Geo-Source 400 tip or the Geo-Source 800 tip.
The selection of the source (max energy – shooting rate) is mainly depending on the water depth, the required penetration, lateral and horizontal resolution. Practical considerations such as vessel size and means for deployment often decide which source is most suitable.
A portable 2 kJ spread is normally shipped in 3 Euro pallet boxes and has a total weight of 750 kg.
The 2000 XF with 5 kJ extension is also available as containerized spread.
The 1 kJ spread is using the Geo-Spark 1000 pulsed power supply, the first HV PPS developed by GMSS. It is typically combined with the Geo-Source 200 LW for small vessels or the Geo-Source 200 standard designed for larger vessels and rough working conditions.
Our rental services also provide quick online technical support, either via email: support@geosys.nl, or via Skype / telephone.
We also provide training sessions for our software packages via Skype.
The synergy created by the combination of technical support, manufacturing and system rental makes Geo Marine Survey Systems a unique partner for all your UHR seismic projects.
Together with GeoSurveys, our partner from Portugal, we can provide the complete seismic package including advanced UHR processing, interpretation and final reporting services.
All our geophysical operators - processing geophysicists are company trained and know the equipment inside out. We can assist you in every phase of the project…….
The skills of our geophysical operators are not limited to UHR seismic alone... Through our experience on numerous projects worldwide, we can also assist you in all standard survey techniques:
Complete seismic processing and reporting services can be provided through the experts of GeoSurveys who have an outstanding know-how and experience in the elaboration of all UHR seismic data and associated data.
Making use of various software packages for onboard QC and data processing, we can provide full reporting and interpretation services on the job or from our offices.
Our services also include the typical site survey data:
Client Rep and QC services rely on very experienced senior personnel, who have an independent view on the data acquisition process and on the data quality in the perspective of continued processing.
Several tests and checks are conducted to ensure that the acquired data sets are complete, comply with their format description and are of good quality, ready for final processing.
After the Client's representative having reviewed the (pre-processed) raw data, a short acceptance report will be written and signed by the offshore representative for line acceptance.
The entire QC process is conducted in accordance with the specifications as agreed to in the contract. As such, the contractor can be sure to deliver data up to their standards, and the Client has the means to check the results.
Based on the results, it can be agreed on board to change acquisition settings in order to achieve better results.
Project Management Assistance is more than just an integrated service. These assignments usually evolve from a long-standing co-operation with a Client of preference and require a solid mutual confidence in the respective professional capabilities.
Typical tasks range from:
Professional training in data processing and data interpretation is available through the experts of GeoSurveys.
